This is the first time that I have really understood the difference between being aggressive and being assertive. This has helped me to develop new strategies for dealing with someone at work who I realise uses a lot of low level aggression to get what she wants. Practical and engaging! I have already used several of the suggested ways to say no to great effect so thank you! I always imagined that other people just knew how to deal with difficult situations, I now believe that with practice anyone can manage it. The book has opened my eyes, I feel empowered and ready to take responsibility for my life. I thought this book was excellent, readable and easy to work through.
