Dallas P. Elkheart é autora, ex-empresária e ex-professora. Trabalhou mais de quarenta anos no setor público. Tem uma Bacharelato em Ciências, que terminou Cum Laude na Universidade de Franklin, Columbus, Ohio. Quando este livro foi escrito, tinha 57 anos. É dos Estados Unidos e está reformada. Reside na Europa, Portugal, Bendada, com o seu marido, com quem é casada há vinte e oito anos. Escreveu este livro baseada nas suas próprias experiências de vida na esperança de partilhar alguns dos seus fracassos, provações e vitórias.
