This paper discusses two things: the arena of cultural production and symbolic violence in the novel Banat al-Riyadh (BR) and The Lost Arabian Women (LAW). The reasons for selecting novel BR and LAW, is both novels raised various issues of women in Saudi Arabia, namely the women who grapple with the conflicting demands of tradition and modernity, and it shows that they challenged the strict social conventions of the kingdom and sexual ethics.
