The course of this document provides answers on the profile of the actors and the motivations to the practice of market gardening, the access to the factors of production and their use, the systems of cultures, the commercial practices, the capacity of creation of richness in the exploitations, the standard of living of the producers and the principal constraints of this principal activity in the urban agriculture in the context of the city of Lubumbashi, located at the south of the R.D.C. This document also reveals the contribution of market gardening in the satisfaction of the family needs of the producers, which justifies the interactions between the exploitation and the family.
