A.K. Jain wurde auf dem World Urban Forum in Medellin, Kolumbien, mit dem 2nd Urban Professional Award 2014 ausgezeichnet, als Anerkennung dafür, dass er eine Stadt vorbildlich verändert hat. Der Minister für Stadtentwicklung der Union zeichnete ihn mit dem IBC Lifetime Achievement Award (2016) aus. Er arbeitete an dem Masterplan für Delhi-2021 und ist Autor mehrerer Bücher.
