Lewis Mann is a qualified mechanical engineer and has spent many years in works engineering management and in engineering service management. Now retired, his many hobbies and interests include reading, painting, walking, music, as well as DIY crafts and has now decided to add writing to the list. He has been bandmaster of his local salvation army band for more than 45 years and has been married to his wife Joan for more than 50 years. He has three children and six grandchildren.
