Autorenporträt
A childhood of multicultural experiences through the nationality of my parents and the expatriate life they, and later I, have led maroons me somewhat into a sense of belonging to all and to nowhere. I identify as a citizen of the world, rather than a particular country or place. My allegiances are to the hope of a humane and peaceful world - often a frustrating and disappointing perspective - yet a worthwhile one. This led me into a career largely focussed on social justice and humanitarian concerns. I have not achieved much but I have been of help to some and despite the current conflicts and tragedies I have also noted and applauded the tiny and huge social changes that have evolved already in my lifetime. I retain hope that 'we the people' care and can effect change if we work together. Technology has given us the power to communicate and act in ways we could not have imagined in my youth. On my lighter side, I love dogs, people, music, travel and my family. They make my heart sing!
