Elizabeth S. Sburlati is a researcher in ClinicalPsychology at the Centre for Emotional Health, MacquarieUniversity, Australia. Elizabeth is also a practicing psychologistwho sees clients with a wide range of presenting problems. She hasled the research on 'Therapist Competencies for theEmpirically Supported Treatment of Child and Adolescent Anxiety andDepressive Disorders' which forms a basis for this book. Heidi J. Lyneham is a research fellow at the Centrefor Emotional Health, Macquarie University, Australia. She haspublished numerous papers and chapters, and is the co-authorof Helping Your Anxious Child: A Step by Step Guide forParents, 2nd edition (2008). Her researchfocuses on improving assessment and treatment methods for emotionalproblems experienced by children, adolescents and theirfamilies. Carolyn A. Schniering is a senior lecturer, clinicalsupervisor, and child psychologist at the Centre for EmotionalHealth, Macquarie University, Australia, and also works in privatepractice dealing with a wide range of emotional problems inindividuals, children, and families. She has published many papersand is the co-author of Treating Anxious Children andAdolescents: An Evidence-Based Approach (2011). Ronald M. Rapee is Distinguished Professor ofPsychology at Macquarie University, Australia and Director of theMacquarie University Centre for Emotional Health. He is aninternationally recognised expert on anxiety disorders and thedevelopment of these disorders through the lifespan. In 2012, hewas made a Member of the Order of Australia for his contributionsto clinical psychology in Australia.
