Geboren 1827, wuchs in Hirzel, einem Dorf imKanton Zürich, auf. 1880 schrieb sie 'HeidisLehr- und Wanderjahre', das zu einem Welterfolgwurde, und ein Jahr später folgte der zweiteBand, 'Heidi kann brauchen, was es gelernt hat'.Bis zu ihrem Tod veröffentlichte Spyri insgesamt48 Erzählungen. Sie starb 1901. Geboren am 30.August 1946 in Piestany in der Slowakei. Maja Dusiková studierte Kunst in Bratislava und schloss 1973 ihr Studium als Grafikerin und Buchilllustratorin ab. Seit 15 Jahren nimmt Maja Dusiková erfolgreich an Ausstellungen in aller Welt teil und hat über 40 (Kinder-)Bücher illustriert. Seit 1982 lebt sie mit ihrer Familie in Florenz. Für NordSüd illustriert sie seit vielen Jahren in ihrem unverwechselbar schönen Stil, wie etwa die Bücher "Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht" oder "Sankt Martin und der kleine Bär" sowie zahlreiche Adventskalender.
