Autorenporträt
About the Author Michael was born in Iowa and grew up on a large farm. At the age of five, he was playing in the wooded pasture near the barn. He would build dams across the little stream by using stones, sticks, mud, and bigger rocks. By eight years of age, he had made his own bow and arrows and used them to hunt rabbits and squirrels. Later that year, he began trapping muskrat, mink, and gophers. Michael was hoping he would find out someday that he was a full-blooded Indian who had been adopted by his parents. He always had an intense love for the woods and trying to figure out how and why animals did what they did to survive. Michael owns Creative Genetics of California, which works with genomic testing, embryo transfer, semen sales, and breeding program design. Creative has founded the Procross system of crossbreeding dairy cows, which is the first program to succeed and is now the only crossbreeding program worldwide that is proved profitable by university trials and approved by the Journal of Dairy Science.
