His works have been published in Gilgamesh, Atlanta Review, World Literature Today, Granta, the Normal School, Best American Nonrequired Reading (BANR) among various other publications. Mohammed currently is the Executive Director of Baghdad City of Literature-UNESCO and a professor of modern poetry and literary criticism at the University of Mustansiriya in Baghdad.
