Autorenporträt
Bola Agbaje's play Detaining Justice opened at the Tricycle in 2009 as part of the theatre's Not Black and White season. Her first play, Gone Too Far! was first produced at Upstairs at the Royal Court Theatre in 2007 and then transferred to the Royal Court Theatre downstairs for a sell-out run in 2008. The play won the 2008 Olivier Award for an Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliated Theatre.

She was also nominated for the Evening Standard Award for Most Promising Playwright of 2008. Her writing has been presented by the Royal Court Theatre, ATC, Tiata Fahodzi, Hampstead Theatre, the Young Vic, and Talawa. Other work includes Everything Must Go for Soho Theatre and Off The Endz for The Royal Court Downstairs. She also developed Gone Too Far! into a feature film with Poisson Rouge production company and the UK Film Council.
