Autorenporträt
Naseem Hijazi is a famous writer who based most of his books on Islamic history. He depicted the emergence and fall of the Islamic Empire while dealing with this subject. Muhammad Bin Qasim, Aakhri Ma'raka, Qaisar-o Kisra, and Qafla-i Hijaz are his works about the ascent of Islam to political, militaristic, economic, and educational prominence. Yusuf Bin Tashfain, Shaheen, Kaleesa aur Aag, and Andheri Raat ke Musafir, on the other hand, describe the period of the Spanish Reconquista. He has depicted the famed Spanish Inquisition in one of these novels (Kaleesa Aur Aag), which began by targeting Spanish Jews and finished with the conversion or exile of the Moriscos, or outwardly converted crypto-Muslims.
