Tara Downs holds her doctorate from the University of Toronto and her master's from Queen's University. Her research centres on contemporary peninsular drama and themes of violence. Tara has presented her work at various conferences in Canada and abroad, including the Congreso Asociación Canadiense de Hispanistas, NEMLA, and the Congreso Internacional de Ficción Criminal.
