The definitive work, Trees of Southern Africa, was originally written by the late Keith Coates Palgrave in 1977. Tree enthusiast, writer, teacher and inspector of schools, he was backed up in the mammoth task by his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Meg Coates Palgrave, as photographers.
