The catalog summarizes all the contextual, metric, and analytical data for the study. Additional catalogs include most of the crucible remains and detailed descriptions of the petrographic studies, and a catalog of the analyzed prills found embedded in crucible fragments. These kinds of detailed catalogs form the raw material of technical and archaeological interpretation, enabling comparisons with other collections as well as allowing scholars to form their own conclusions independently of the interpretations of the authors"--
