He covered Southeast Asia for the Washington Post, based in Jakarta, after serving as Brazil correspondent for the Los Angeles Times and working at the Financial Times  in London. He is also the author of If We Burn: The Mass Protest Decade and the Missing Revolution. Vincent lives in São Paulo.
