Every human being concerned about environmental issues should read this book. I was definitely not disappointed. 
 
Climate change issues are covered both historically and scientifically. Following a concise introduction, the book is well-structured in different chapters, we start our journey with an analysis on the developments that caused climate change, with an extensive elaboration in chapter 3 about fossil fuels.
But also stringent matters like deforestation, CO2 concentration, the extreme weather events are presented in an awareness-raising manner, culminating with an elaborate closing about measures that need to be taken to assure the future of the next generations.

Highly recommended is also the first book of this scientist, written (so nicely said) "with the consciousness of a worried member of humanity", covering the surviving of our planet but also the plausibility of our extinction.

Extensively researched and documented,  these books offer a lot of references and one can look further information up, waking up the desire to deepen and develop the alertness about the future of humanity.
