The book ‘Without their permission’ by Alexis Ohanian is the perfect blueprint for every entrepreneur. It does not matter whether you are an experienced entrepreneur or not, Ohanian’s book enhances everybody’s understanding of our many-sided possibilities to change the world. He especially emphasised the internet as a powerful tool to make much money with an idea that society really wants. Here, he states that success is not dependent on age, race, education, or another background characteristic - you only need a laptop, internet connection, and time in order to create something wonderful. Ohanian tells the story of Steve Huffman and himself, how they became with the popular website ‘reddit’ millionaires before the age of 24. He tells their story with much humour so that everyone gets an understanding of their experiences, decisions, and successful as well as downfallen moments. Also, he talks about private incidents which give the reader the impression that Ohanian is a human being such as you and me. This encourages the reader to be capable of managing a startup herself. In addition, the book presents many tips on how to come up with an idea, how to pitch it, how to do networking, the perfect growth of customers etc. It allows entrepreneurs to be prepared for most situations they will face in their future. Therefore, the book provides certain stability and courage to actually start with our own idea no matter what your background is.
