DEBORAH LEVY glaubt nicht an Genregrenzen. Sie helfen ihr zwar, sich in Buchhandlungen zurechtzufinden, aber sie ist davon überzeugt, dass wirklich gute Bücher keine Schubladen brauchen. Und so ist auch ihr Schreiben ungeheuer vielschichtig, verbinden sich darin doch essayistische und lyrische Momente, autobiographisches und fiktionales Erzählen miteinander. Deborah Levy emigrierte im Alter von neun Jahren mit ihrer Familie aus Südafrika nach Grossbritannien. Ihre Romane Heim schwimmen (2011), Heisse Milch (2016) und Der Mann, der alles sah (2019) waren für den Booker Prize nominiert. Für ihr dreiteiliges autobiographisches Projekt wurde sie mit dem Prix Femina étranger ausgezeichnet. Sie lebt und arbeitet in London und Paris..MARION HERTLE, geboren 1977, studierte in Erlangen und Nordirland Deutsche und Englische Literaturwissenschaft. Sie arbeitet als Lektorin und Übersetzerin. Für AKI übersetzte sie bereits die Early-Levys: Landschaft verschluckt, Billy & Girl und Schöne Mutanten sowie Deborah Levys neusten Roman Augustblau und die Essaysammlung Die Position der Löffel. Sie lebt mit ihrer Familie in München.
