This story was inspired by conversations between students and myself while teaching elementary school Spanish. "Blanquita Tiene un Mal Día," es la historia de una llamita cuyo nombre es Blanquita y Rosita, su nueva amiguita. Rosita está emocionada por su nueva mascota Blanquita y todas las cosas divertidas que pueden hacer juntas. Desafortunadamente, Rosita no sabe sobre la tendencia de escupir que tienen las llamas. Pese a que Rosita y Blanquita se conocen poco, Rosita le ayuda a Blanquita a superar el hábito de escupir y se convierten en grandes amigas. En este libro, los niños reconocerán bastantes palabras y oraciones, y repitiéndolas ellos adquirirán confianza en leer y hablar un segundo idioma. Esta historia fue inspirada por conversaciones con mis estudiantes mientras enseñaba español en las escuelas primarias.
