As a coping mechanism for the intolerable grief that was now her constant companion, Lee Ann accepts the position of art teacher at the newly developed nonprofit center. Between sessions of grief counseling and therapeutic nature trips, Lee Ann and Wesley stumble upon a drug deal in the making and catch a glimpse of a little girl they believe is Amy, depicted on a billboard and signs all over town as missing and likely being held for ransom. With no thoughts of their own personal safety, Lee Ann partners with Deputy Brown to rescue little Amy, believing the kidnappers are in the process of carting her off to some undisclosed location with the possibility of never seeing the little girl alive again.
