But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
There are numerous parables of the Lord emphasizing on time. To keep it and to wait there in it by occupying. So that whenever He would come we would not be caught unawares. And a regular warning on keeping it and to keep reminding others to watch. For we do not know the hour nor the day.

Mark 13:34-37 KJV For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
Time until we see and measure it for what it is; we cannot comprehend nor see or tell its importance. But when we get to see it as the measure and value of one's life. It becomes the scarcest commodity on earth above diamonds and rubies, for every even elemental time times of infancy especially in the faith is so very important. Once we remember that we did not author our destinies but the purposes of God in us. We get to understand that every bit of it is vital to fulfill what we are purposed to do. Christ did highlight a thing very important to the disciples, that the purpose in us needs a certain amount of time and if we do not utilize time well. We might find out later that we failed not because we did not know but because we wasted time.
