The ultimate aim and purpose of this book is to give us some insight into dealing with the negative and positive vicissitudes of life and how to cope with them. It seeks to remind us that in times of joy, fortune and success, we should celebrate those moments with grateful hearts. We should learn not to take them for granted but to claim them as blessings, count them and capitalize on them. On the other hand, when distress confronts us, when trouble engulfs us, we should first be conscious of the fact that while trouble and calamity may be inevitable, that they are neither fatal nor final. Misfortune is not a permanent feature of life. It is transient, as one of our psalms reminds us ,"heaviness may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning."

Autor

Dr. Henderson Brome holds advanced degrees from Trinity College, Boston College, Columbia University and Yale University. At Yale, he was the recipient of the Albert Beebe Prize in Homiletics and upon graduation he was made a research fellow. He has taught at all levels in education: elementary, secondary and tertiary. He is a passionate advocate in the philosophy that education is the premiere source of empowerment. A lecturer in several colleges and universities, he has taught courses in the areas of child growth and development and cognitive and adolescent development. He is the author of two books; "The Journey of Life; Confronting, Celebrating and Coping with its Experiences" and "A Manual for the Art of Living - Some Critical Steps for Building and Assembling a Complete and Purposeful Life". He is an ordained priest in the Anglican Church. His special interests both in the classroom as well as the congregation have been the mentoring and affirmation of the youth to enable them to reach their fullest potential
