This rejects the notion that strictly material efforts can provide lasting answers to man's deepest concerns or that true satisfaction can come from artificial means such as drugs or alcohol. Rather, it seeks to provide people with words to meditate upon and absorb, the end result being the dissolution of fear, which is the main source of our pain. "As he thinketh in his heart, so is he," says the psalmist, and This tries to purify those thoughts, so that healing may take place.
