Those led to out-of-control riots, pillaging, destruction, and murders. Just as things improved, there was a Great Blizzard in the northeast United States and the Great Earthquakes in Italy. Through all of the turmoil, the story follows the lives of the Ashcraft family. The family was anything but perfect. But there was a grandmother in the family who prayed that her family would all become Christians. She wanted them, not to just become Christians, but to become leaders and maybe even evangelists. It was her dying wish and she shared it with her son, begging him to make a promise. He would not make a promise he couldn't keep, not even to his dying mother who he loved. However-
