This book, with a great insight to the situation in the contemporary border area between Brazil, Paraguay and Bolivia, was written by the Czech botanist, traveller, and ethnographer, Alberto Vojtech Fric (1882-1944). Fric masterfully combined archetypal characters, historic events, historical tendencies, and his own views into an exciting adventure story, and a story on fighting for justice, which is known as The Tall Hunter.
