The Story of Googala Duck: Encounter with a Hunter is the third in a series of picture books about Googala Duck, who decides to stay in the pond for the winter, while his family goes South for the next six months. John Pluff has long been inspired by children's books. When growing up, his mother read to him and his five siblings, and his teachers read everything from Robin Hood to books by contemporary authors.
John began writing, after he started reading and telling stories at bedtime to his children, and then improvised with a story of his own. Googala Duck was one that he wrote and remembered from those years, and he turned it into a series of picture books.
John also writes film scripts and is working on additional children's books.
