The Charos Space Programme has built the first faster than light drive, the Lieth Ah Domah - The Breath of God. This breakthrough could make Strahger's ambition a reality. But there are those on Charos who oppose him, they call themselves, Sa Domari - The Free. Caught up in this struggle are three people. Alvo Thoria, who has secretly dedicated his life to opposing Strahger, Laria Praxi, a young woman working on the Space Programme who gets drawn into the struggle for freedom and Creto Strahger himself, the would be tyrant of two neighbouring worlds. Through the thoughts and words of these three, we follow the struggle to warn and protect the Earth. Can Sa Domari and its allies thwart Strahger and aid unsuspecting Earth?
