The inclusion of case studies from Africa, Asia and Europe provides the text with a strong geographical focus, and constructs a panoramic view of the nexus that encompasses the globe. Further country-based chapters - focusing on China, the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Africa - underline this worldwide perspective.
