"The Romance of an Empress. Catherine II" - is a work by the Polish historian, writer and publicist K. F. Waliszewski. Even the legendary element has only a strictly separated place, in which you cannot refuse to it, when you have a desire to create the real picture of the past. We suppose, however, that the reader's curiosity, as well as his love of adventures will be satisfied". The book is also interesting because of the details about the way of life and dispositions of the tsar's court.
