One way to exercise the affirmation technique is through the spoken statement. Verbalizing positive statements to describe and relate to a particular topic would be very effective if done consistently and continuously.
When the affirmation is verbalized often, the subconscious mind absorbs it and produces the positive response action. However, too much affirmation where it is not really deserved will make an individual on the receiving end of the affirmation overly confident and even selfish.
Using the affirmation technique is a great way to motivate yourself or those around you. When you are in a desperate or crisis situation, this helpful way to maintain your level and mental focus is a bonus.
Unfortunately, for most people, the statement is used more negatively than positively. By repeatedly stating a negative statement, either verbally or in the thought process, this statement plays a compelling role in ultimately producing the negative outcome that it promotes.
