As Professor Baker traces in his book the theory of "natural rights" from the Middle Ages to the present day, he has come to new knowledge about the mentality of the eighteenth century, and about the men who created the United States of America. Although his writing style is clear, bright, and harshly critical, his books have never been very popular among people. However, this matter was not important in the past, as the man's influence, although it often took an indirect path, expanded his entire nation.
