The Korbent Refraction is episode 16 of the Multivertical Man series, in which 2 different lost indisols, Ron Quoren and Ren Tenrut, seek different paths out of the loveless purgatories they have fallen into, within the shadow Earth "Aton 5". While Quoren faces the problem of impending disaster for the Aton 5 parallel, due to an out-of-control imperial war-machine, Tenrut is facing problems with PTSD and poverty that have put him under more pressure than his aging human body and mind can tolerate.
Quoren utilizes the knowledge he has accumulated over the years to do what he can to try and prevent a global disaster, while Tenrut makes contact with a mysterious agent who is interested in his ebooks and presents an opportunity to Tenrut that the man cannot ignore. Both men are lost within the shadow Earth "Aton 5" and have endless dreams about the mysterious "home-parallel", where they had been before accidents had them transferred away, a parallel known as "Earth".
This is a science-fiction fantasy about a sub-parallel of the Aton 5 parallel, a version of contemporary alternate history for anyone who still believes in silver arrows to take down the beast.
