Former CIA assassin Fortune Redding thought Sinful, Louisiana was supposed to be her safe haven. Instead, she's stuck in a cell with her sometimes partner Brennan Noble (who's more worried about his fancy shoes than felony charges), hunting a ghost known as the Ice Queen-a ruthless drug lord with a taste for antiques, small mercenary armies, and making her enemies disappear.
When the Ice Queen kidnaps Fortune's friends, the deadly geriatric duo of Ida Belle and Gertie, the gloves come off. Armed with duct tape, questionable intel, and Gertie's pet alligator (for emotional support), Fortune's ragtag team storms a fortified compound crawling with mercenaries, surface-to-air missiles, and one very angry woman in designer heels.
Throw in chase scenes, a Cybertruck joyride through gunfire, a food fight, and enough firepower to level a small country, and you've got another day in Sinful.
Because when Fortune Redding promises justice, she delivers-even if it means wading through quarry muck.

The cast of eccentric characters sparks plenty of laughs and the twists plenty of gasps. Wow great book. Break Dan is my favorite character of any in all the books stories written in !is fortune universe or world. The story got every thing rival baseball games the swamp bar dangerous killer old and new foes old foes new characters , bomb guns fights car chases pretty much everything but Gertie purse . oh and Celica being herself. Can't wait to read next one find out who the ice queen is and hopefully more of Red who was introduced at end of this book.-Ruffwyr
