Dr. Alphonsus Ihuoma is a Nigerian-American trained, world-class international lawyer with a specialty in International Trade Law, and a seasoned theologian and philosopher, committed to applying his unique background in education and scholarship to practical problems in the global economy. He has tremendous knowledge and interest in international issues relating to import-export, FDI, and IP transactions, and the environment and extraction and management of natural resources. Above all, true to his vocation, Dr. Ihoumas research interests lean toward international best practices in all walks of life for the common good of humanity. He has variously been involved in Justice and Peace sessions, substantive intellectual activities, and parish and chaplaincy work around the world. His interest in the involvement of the Holy See in international affairs, especially as it relates to the World Trade Organization (WTO), is a reaffirmation of his unflinching support for the common good of all, especially the less privileged.
