The second oldest of six children, and now a father of two, an uncle to eight, and a great uncle to 8 more, D.M. Wiegand claims to know children and how they think. And yes, the morals and life lessons typically associated with children's books are there for the learning; however, they are not overt, in-your-face, and preachy, but rather woven into the storyline and absorbed in a fun, subliminal fashion.
