According to Deutsch, the fabric of reality, as it is revealed to any bearer of reason, is woven from four main threads. This is the epistemology of Karl Popper, revealing the path of scientific knowledge; it is quantum mechanics, which is holistically interpreted only after recognizing the reality of the multiverse - an infinite ensemble of parallel universes; it is the theory of computation founded by Turing, without which one cannot understand the nature of mathematical objects; and, finally, it is a universal theory of evolution, which explains the development of not only life, but also civilization.
