In light of the fact that we will all get sick, healthcare is potentially very lucrative. Over time, there has been an increase in demand for profit, as the number of shareholders has risen. In 2020, the insurance industry profited over $500 billion and insurance company lobbyists provided $300 million to congress. This while life span went down and the USA once again was last of any developed country in the world. There has been a push to decrease the number of doctors in order to increase profit for the insurance industry. They have resorted to criminalization of physicians by what ever means possible. They convert the slightest of infractions to criminal behavior. They falsely blamed an opiate epidemic on prescription opiates on physicians. Claiming that all opiate addicts start with prescription drugs. We now know that this is not even remotely true, but that less than 3% of opiates abused have been prescription opiates, and only a small portion of these have been prescribed by physicians. About 97% of opiates abused are illegal opiates, heroine and street fentanyl. The abuse of these opiates have risen 1040% in the last 5 years. Despite this, they keep blaming, arresting and putting physicians with good intentions in prison, while the amount of illegal street opiates continues to rise, and the government has shown little motivation to control it. About 80% of doctors arrested are of color. This is a story of a physician whom was brutally attacked by the federal government. The government was relentless at attempts to prosecute this doctor, who unlawfully spent 7 out of a 48 months sentenced in prison. After serving 7 months, conviction was reversed. We now know that this misinterpretation of opiate guidelines was fueled by Highmark insurance, who unlawfully labeled opiates as drugs of abuse with no therapeutic purpose. This was fueled by PROP, physicians for responsible opiate prescribing who have received millions for testifying against good natured doctors and have no formal training in the treatment of chronic pain. The government, including FBI, DEA and insurers utilize a technology company, Qlarant, to illegally obtain healthcare information from patients and physicians to identify what they deem as substandard that compromises health insurance profits.
