Along the way Mara's extraordinary life and character unfolds as she tells her stories, leaving her companion in stitches of laughter, so she decides to write them down as a memoir to preserve the stories forever, creating a real page turner of laughter and tears. During their Indian adventures Mara delves further into her history, her antics as a nurse of over forty years, her unconventional ways, her incredibly cruel upbringing and despite that cruelty, how her mischievous Celtic spirit uplifts everyone around her with her smile, joviality and unconditional love. How on earth is this lady so loving, generous and kind, when she suffered so much in her childhood? Her caring nature for people and especially animals, she has touched the lives of the many two legged and four legged she has met over the years and has raised approximately £44,000 for 35 human and animal charities, local and worldwide, since 2007 up until early 2024. She still continues to raise money, joy and laughter with classes, workshops and fun evenings today.
