The Prime Minister fears that if the United States withdraws from NATO, it will collapse. With the UK's recent withdrawal from the European Union, the Prime Minister fears that such action would leave the UK vulnerable to misadventures by Russia, ISIL, or other unsavory actors on the world stage.
