The first part of this thesis dealt with the a new kind of precursors for transition metalcatalyzed cocyclization reactions containing a vinylbicyclopropyl unit, their synthesis and their behavior in cocyclization reactions. By introducing a second cyclopropane the catalyst might open this ring as well after insertion into the first cyclopropane ring.
