In my working experience with Non Govermental organizations (NGOs), I have noted there is a great need for strengthening management and governance systems in these organizations. It is important for an organization to demonstrate that it is managed and governed well in order to access resources and gain the commitment of its diverse stakeholders. The success of these organizations is largely dependent on the governance and management systems in place. Many local organizations fail to get funds or resources for many various reasons but one critical reason is because they do not have stable internal management systems to support program interventions.
