Three ancient-themed sketches for three tragedies - that is, three adaptations and three applications of the "modes" of the Greek language - with all due respect to the tragedians, but also with the inevitable betrayal of our postmodern era, its music, and its theater. Another attempt to write beyond the "genres" of discourse and-embracing Nabokov's view that "every great writer is also a great deceiver, just as nature itself is"-to demonstrate that literature is an invention. And to seek "truth" or care about "meaning" with the hypocrisy of a revered yet popular Themistopoulos is an insult both to art and to truth. These three sketches premiered on stage in 2015, directed by Giannis Leontaris at the Kykladon Street Stage, and in 2025, energized by elements of electronic music composed by Dimitris Kamarotos during the Athens and Epidaurus Festival. So here is how Electra rages, Iphigenia does yoga, and Phaedra falls in deadly love. G.V.
