Nutrition being axis of dairy, play pivotal role in profitability of farm as it influence production, reproduction and prevent diseases either directly or indirectly through boosting immunity to fight with diseases causing organisms. In present scenario, role of nutrition as whole and nutrients as individual goes much beyond the simple growth and milk production to a level of immuno-modulation, disease prevention and disease treatment (Nutraceuticals). Keeping this changing role of nutrition, the present book is written to aware the stakeholders about the clinically applicable nutritional advice in ruminant production. This book primarily covers the metabolic disorders, nutritionreproduction nexus, nutritional deficiencies and toxicities, laminitis, nutrigenomics and certain miscellaneous diseases in relation to nutrition. The foundation and science behind these recommendations is briefly explained, providing the reader with extensive references for further reading if desired.
