Regalbop tracks her down but is arrested on suspicion of being the burglar who's been breaking into neighborhood homes. Escaping from jail, with Pollybip and his ears close behind, Regalbop remembers his father's final instructions regarding the mirror. Climbing to the attic, the two find themselves taking the only path available to avoid prison-through the forbidden mirror and into the great unknown beyond.
