It defines criteria which must be met in order to comply with the internationally applicable EuropeSpa med quality standard for operators of health resorts and spas. International, transparent and on a high quality level, these standardised criteria apply throughout Europe. The European Spas Association's EuropeSpa med quality standard is a comprehensive set of guidelines for all health resorts and spa facilities delivering quality care. Europe Spa med addresses all relevant professionals and provides the basis for open competition in Europe's growing cross-border health tourism sector. What sets EuropeSpa Med apart from similar efforts is that all criteria are transparent, and published. They may be reproducibly monitored and checked by using the lists and procedures in this book. The lists of criteria are also handy as a basis for developing staff training measures.
