Once she arrives in Boston, she notices something very different about her friend of five years. He's far more attentive than before, which she didn't mind. Although Toni welcomes the attention, she also knew the kind of woman Zack wants and it's definitely not her. Still there was something in his platonic kisses which drove her out of her mind and soon out of her clothes.
When Toni takes violently ill, it's Zack to the rescue. While he's helping her recover, Toni realizes this is a new and different Zack. Someone she could really get used to.
