He did not stop there, but he had many of his own studies on the origin, development, movement, and structure of stars. Eddington lived through the two biggest revolutions in modern science (the theory of relativity and quantum theory). In this book, Eddington does not content himself with monitoring the philosophies that led to the two theories or the philosophies that resulted from the two theories, but rather tries to draw a complete general picture of the universe scientifically and philosophically.
