I am a former teacher who has been in a wheelchair since 1994. After becoming disabled, my love of children has allowed me to continue my work as a volunteer tutor in a local elementary school. My granddaughter, and the many children I see each day, has enabled me to use my disability as an asset in the school and home environment. Being a grandmother and teacher with special needs has made me special in ways that I could not have imagined!
